EDIT 8/17/2020: These are still a few of my favorite masks. Since this post went live CoCoKind released aSea Clay mask that I am a HUGE fan of. You must check it out.
I can’t say I’m a fan of the holidays, but I am a fan of days off and that lull in the last week of the year when everyone is out of town and work seems to wrap up until early January. Its like the pressure is off, you can guilt free enjoy the week knowing that your superiors and coworkers are also tuned out with their families. This frees up so much mental energy to either a) work on the projects you keep pushing to the back burner (HELLO, JUNK DRAWER!) and b) take some extra time to take care of yourself. At least, that’s what life is going to look like in my house the next seven days.
To begin start with a detoxing clay mask– depending on how dry your skin is feeling, if you’re super sensitive and already combating dry winter skin, skip this step. I like something that will really get the impurities out. Bentonite clay is great for this reason. You can mix it with equal parts apple cider vinegar for a detox mask, slap some on your arm pits to pull the stuff out from your underarm glands, or add it to your bath for ultimate detoxification.

Though sometimes this particular mask can be really drying for some people, especially if you have extra sensitive skin. If you’re looking for a less harsh detox mask I highly recommend my beloved Cocokind Chlorophyll Mask.
I like to follow my detox masks with a super hydrating/anti-aging surge. If you skipped the mask above due to dry skin then trust me, you’ll love these masks. (Pro tip: mix in an herbal face steam in between.)

Andalou Hydrating Rosewater Mask
To finish I really love a good old fashioned collagen boost. I swear this Super collagen mask takes of YEARS. Its only $18 too, which I feel like is a really good deal for how long it lasts and the quality of the results.

How many masks are too many in a day? Asking for myself. These are my top faves to go to for a home spa kind of day, however I also really enjoy incorporating sheet masks for those moments when you’re sitting around watching tv, or mindlessly organizing that junk drawer. Pro tip: sheet masks make AMAZING travel buddies- I would be lying if I said I didn’t frequently fly armed with dry air defenses for my skin.
